Tagua is a nut from tropical palms which grow in rainforests in South America. The nuts range from about 4 to 6 cm in diameter and are made of pure cellulose. When dried they turn rock hard and are painted. Taguanuts have been used to make buttons, chess pieces and dices. Available as single or multi nut necklaces in various colors, such as black, red, white, yellow, lime and purple.
